Is Jim Crow really in the past? Or are the current policies being proposed an attack on our liberties and freedoms? The NYS Governor wishes the legislature to pass a bill that will enable the collection of DNA for anyone convicted of a misdemeanor. If passed, this will effectively give the police the authority to continue a pattern of racial profiling and harassment of of those whom are already disenfranchised and without political power.
